このポーズは、抹茶を「点てる」という言葉と、野球の「点を取る」の“点”が同じであることから生まれたものだそうです。
さらに、塁を走ってダイヤモンドをかき回す様子が、茶筅で抹茶を攪拌（かき混ぜる）する動きにも重なることから、このユニークなポーズになったのだとか。

One of the most talked-about celebrations in this tournament is the “Matcha Whisk Pose.”
After hitting a home run, players perform a motion that looks like whisking matcha with a bamboo whisk.

This pose comes from the word “tateru” (to whisk matcha), which uses the same character as “ten” (point/score) in baseball.
Also, the image of running around the diamond is said to resemble whisking matcha in a bowl.
